The Social Enterprise Alliance just had its annual summit in Chicago, and it went extremely well. Social enterprisers from around the U.S. and Canada, as well as the world, shared a rare opportunity to brainstorm together about making social change at the intersection of mission and the market.
It was also an opportunity to welcome Kevin Lynch as the new CEO of the Alliance. A highly successful social enterpriser (Rebuild Resources), author and long-time leader of the field, we're lucky to have someone as dynamic and driven as Kevin charting the course for our movement. You can learn more at the formal announcement of his appointment.
He also gave a terrific closing keynote: hope he writes it up soon. Welcome, Kevin! I (Jim Fruchterman, former board chair) and the rest of our members look forward to supporting SEA and its advocacy agenda of enhancing the environment for social enterprise.
